Veritas Health Demonstrates Commitment to Protecting Visitor Privacy
Company announces enhanced privacy measures ahead of new EU data regulations.
May 01, 2018
Deerfield, Illinois: On May 25, 2018, the European Union will begin enforcing the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). According to EUGDPR.org, “The aim of GDPR is to protect all EU citizens from privacy and data breaches in an increasingly data-driven world.”
Internet privacy is an issue that Veritas Health takes very seriously. Over the past year, teams have worked together to ensure that Veritas Health exceeds all privacy measures, not only to comply with the new policy, but to ensure visitor data is protected when they visit Veritas Health websites.
We want visitors to feel confident that Veritas Health maintains the highest standards for protecting user data,” said In-house Counsel, Katie Eveleigh. “Trust is at the heart of everything we do. These changes reflect our commitment to earning that trust.”
In 2017, Veritas Health upgraded website servers to offer better encryption, data integrity, and authentication by installing SSL certificates and moving from HTTP to HTTPS.
"This has been a significant, company-wide effort. We know that cyber threats are on the rise,” added Eveleigh. “These enhanced security protocols help protect Veritas Health visitors.”
